Strain R456 and B. cepacia LMG 1222T
were investigated
for the presence of B. cepacia epidemic strain marker
[BCESM] and cable pilin subunit gene [cblA], while the
two putative transmissibility markers have been reported to
be associated to the high transmissibility and virulence of
some Bcc strains. Amplification of the marker genes was
performed by PCR as described by Perin et al. (2006) using
the specific primers BCESM1/BCESM2 and CBL1/CBL2,
respectively
