Generally the more active the mother is, the less she may be aware of the fetal movements. There is a fairly large range in normal fetal movement, but it is expected that at 28 weeks and beyond, the fetus will move 10 times within a 2-hour time frame. It can be perfectly normal for one fetus to achieve ten movements in a few minutes, while others may take an hour or more. The best way to check if there is a concern is to have the mother rest with her hands directly on the abdomen, taking note of the time and movements.
