Holders and 11-times FA Cup winners Arsenal are expected to give a debut to January signing Gabriel Paulista in their FA Cup tie against Middlesbrough.
Per Mertesacker is likely to give way, while goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is set to start in place of David Ospina.
Middlesbrough are without Cup-tied midfielder Adam Forshaw and defender Daniel Alaya, who was injured in their mid-week win at Blackpool.
On-loan Chelsea defender Tomas Kalas is injured and likely to miss out.
Left-back George Friend is set to return following illness and on-loan Tottenham defender Ryan Fredericks could also make his comeback.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "Our basic is always to finish in the top four and then win a trophy on top of that.
"We want always to be in the Champions League and this season it will be very difficult, because it's very tight if you look at the table - every game now becomes a cup game.
"We have won the FA Cup five times during my period here. Nobody has won it more in the last 18 years, so we have always taken the competition seriously."
