HOUSEKEEPING JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title : Toilet Attendant
Department : Housekeeping
Responsible to : Public Area Supervisor

Toilets and rest rooms are very often way a guest judges the standards of a Resorts housekeeping service. The standard of extreme cleanliness, immaculate condition and pleasant, fresh aroma must be maintained.
Responsibilities are :
Report on duty on time in full uniform signs in at the Housekeepings office.
Sings out keys when coming on duty and sing them back in when going off.
Checks supplies of soap, toilet paper, Kleenex tissue, towel in all toilets.
Makes sure all roller towel machines, and other machines are in good working order.
Keeps toilet clean and tidy:
Toilet bowls ( inside & outside )
Urinals
Basins and basin counter
Mirror
Shelves
Floors
Walls
Make-up area
Soap dishes and ashtrays
Ensure that flowers are fresh, exchange as necessary.
Hands in Lost and Found to Housekeepers office immediately.
Is always polite to guests and greets them.
Turns water on for guest when he/she approaches the basin, turns water off, hands guests a towel.
Must never hover for tips or place coin in an ashtray as a hint to the guests.
Never lends out supplies from the toilets.
Always has clean brushes and combs available as well as Eau de cologne.
Brushes guest clothes gently but thoroughly.
Reports any damage to the Public Area Supervisor.
Reports any repair or maintenance to Public Area Supervisor.
Report any pests or vermin to Supervisor.
Abides by Resort rules and regulations.
