The results revealed that the reduction effectiveness is different among simulation time scale (hourly and daily) and different receptors. The emission reduction policy would more significantly decrease the ambient concentrations of SO2 and NOx at the most polluted locations in near future, while there still exist receptors with few differences among the 2 years. It suggested that the uniform reduction of
certain percentage of emission for every source may cause unbalanced reduction in point ambient concentration. So specific emission control policy may be necessary for the special whittling of pollutants in seriously polluted area. The simulated results were compared with national standards given in Table 2. By the year of 2015, a better air quality condition of the 8 receptors (which present the air quality of Xuanwei) will be achieved by completing the environment policy (Standard level I). This air quality standard will be updated in the year of 2016, meaning that the air quality should be improved to achieve the new version of air quality standard(GB3095-2012).
