School District A, located in northeast Wisconsin, had approximately 750 students and 55 staff members. There were three primary Energy Task Force members involved in developing the SEP&EP. At the time they began working on the plan, two of the Energy Task Force members were teachers in the high school and one was a member of the administration team for the district. There was no representation from the middle or elementary schools in the development process. At times, other individuals participated in the Task Force including the district's new Superintendent and a member of the school board who had an interest in energy management. The district did not have any formal energy policies in place before this project began. The Energy Task Force developed most of the energy policy and education plan during the summer of 2009. There were two school buildings located on the same property in District A. School District B, also located in northeast Wisconsin, had approximately 5700 students and 680 staff members.
