Coronary artery diseases (CADs) occur in 36% of the US
population and are one of the major causes of death in the
United States (Roger et al. 2011). In Korea, CADs are also
a public health problem. As a result of Westernised dietary
habits and sedentary lifestyles, the mortality of CADs has
increased from 184% in 1999 to 260% in 2009 in Korea
(Korean Statistical Information Service 2011).
