Although many of Marx’s claim have been discredited, his concept of dialecticism is still widely recognized and used. In many ways, his concept of dialectic process is closely related to the ancient Chinese visualization of yin and yang. The idea behind these concepts is simply that processes which are different can nevertheless shape and form each other at the same time. In other words, the power of the relationship between two processes or things can shape and influence them both. This sees change as a constant, and it also hold that social processes are not static but are in a constant state of flux, or structural change. It can be seen that in fact, this is not an unreasonable claim.
