Health and environment at the 68th World Health Assembly
"WHO is the only international organization that has universal political legitimacy on global health issues,” said German Chancellor H.E. Angela Merkel at the plenary of the 68th World Health Assembly (WHA). This meeting of WHO`s governing body had a packed agenda including responses to the West Africa Ebola outbreak and the recent earthquake in Nepal.
Among the key health and environment agenda items, Member States adopted a resolution on "Addressing the health impact of air pollution" and held a technical briefing focusing on Health and climate.
