Although label users may
have healthier dietary behaviors in general, the lack of association
between label use and intake of F/V may be due to
the lack of a label on display for F/V or that consumers
already know that they are healthy and do not need a label to
provide that information. Reported use of labels for desserts,
which includes fruit, was lower than for main entrées. This
could have been due to either labels not being displayed as
often for fruits or other desserts or soldiers already knowing
the basic nutrition profile of fruit vs a sweet dessert.
