the Psychologist could also have augmented the criterion related val ideation with other evidence of validity : the knowledge , skills, and abilities identified in the job analysis could have been systematically "mapped" into the contents of the inventory items to provide some content validation support. Existing, well-researched measures pertinent to the constructs being measured in the new inventory could also have been administered during the validation study, and a convergent and discriminant(construct) validity analysis undertaken. The psychologist might also have evaluated the operational validity of the new procedure, given different hypothetical level of loss validity , through cross-validation. If, for example, a "worst-case" scenario still showed that would be good validity remaining , the confidence in the procedure is operational use would be enhanced, while a scenario that showed the validity to decline to an unacceptably low level would lead to the opposite conclusion.
