2.3 Intra- and inter-organisational management
practice
Unlike previous research, which has tended to focus on
BPM and SCC separately [6, 11], this study summarises the
link between BPM and SCC, as presented in Fig. 1. A
framework has been developed based on a review of the
relevant literature to identify the link between intra- and
inter-firm management practices. In terms of internal collaboration,
as represented by BPM, this ultimately incorporates
four main attributes: strategic alignment, IT,
process orientation and improvement and people
involvement.
SCC emphasises external collaboration, and this incorporates
four main attributes, namely information sharing
and communication, joint activities, sharing common goals
