Dear all,
Just want to share,,
Got warning delivery mail due to bounching email “full of quota”from someone who in day off or during week end ?
Take a long time sending and receiving email with report attachments...? and sometime other priority email fail to send or receive
due to emails are bounching in receiving or sending process..?
That is because of your attachment email are to big to be send via email, not just someone who sending but someone who receiving
also got same problem.
I would like to share on how to compress attachment files to be fit the email traffic situation, in very simple way,
- For PDF files ( I saw the most of your report files are 500kb to 600kb per attach if you send 4 or 5 attach then the email will be over
than 2MB which is too heavy for an ideal email size, here below the tips for you to make a PDF file attachment for a below
100kb per page:
1. Scan your page to JPEG,JPG what so ever, save it on your wherever directory/drive/hardisks/flashdisk.
2. Open your “Microsoft PowerPoint” , set your page to landscape or portrait that fit your page you want to compress
3. Open your scanned file – right click on the page/pictures – click copy.
4. Right click on the PowerPoint page that you recently opened – Click Paste.
5. Still on the PowerPoint page, drag the corner of the pictures to be fit to the PowerPoint page
6. Right Click on the PowerPoint page that contain your fitted page/report/pictures.
7. Click on “Save Picture As” and save your picture/report – then check this your new file size it should be less than 100kb ( sometime got less than 50kb)
8. Then you can convert of print the file to PDF if you prefer in PDF file.
Note : uncompressed picture from digital camera are most 1MB in size per each, we can do the same above ways prior to send to someone via email.
Please share this to everyone else..!
