Stan : you look upset. What’s wrong ?
David : well, actually, it’s about joan.
Stan : joan ? that terrific women you’ve been dating for the last few months ? what’s wrong ?
david : well, last night, we went to the movies, and then we had some pizza. I asked her to pay half, and she got really upset, angry even. She finally gave me some money, but asked me to take her home. She has not called me since.
Stan : are you crazy ? you asked her to pay for pizza !?
David : not all of it – just half. You know, I pay half and she pays half.
Stan : why did do you that ? you asked her to go out with you. Women don’t pay for dates. That’s what men do.
David : I don’t agree with you. Look, Stan you know that Joan and I have had six or seven dates-movie, dinner once, lunch two or three times. I even took her to that sound pop concert last month.
Stan: that must have been expensive !
David: it was, Stan, super expensive ! I paid for everything, even the taxis. She didn’t offer to pay for anything!
Stan: but she must have at least thanked you!
David: she did, but it is still not fair ! I feel that the man and the women should split the bill – you pay half and she pays half aren’t men and women equal ? so let’s be equal on a date !
Stan: you know, maybe you’re right. But maybe Joan is confused. You did not ask her to pay before. Maybe she thinks your feelings for her have changed. So what are you going to do ?
David: I’m going to wait her to ask me out!
Stan: good luck!
