Most Thammasat University students live in a dorm rather than at home.
I believe a dorm is better than at home for three reasons.
Firstly, students living in a dorm can easily join activities which often take place in the evening.
Those living at home have to leave the campus early and miss a chance to be past of the unity.
Secondly, students living in a dorm spend little time going to the university.
They can save travel time and feel refreshed. 7 Those living at home spend at least 1 1/2 hours each way on the traffic.
As a result, they often feel tired. 9 Thirdly, and most importantly, student living in a dorm can learn to be independent.
They have to manage their time among studying, doing activities, and taking care of themselves.
Those living at home only study. 12 Their parents look after them, so they remain children.
Because students living in a dorm can join activities, save travel time, and become independent, a dorm is a much better option than a home.
