As the quantity of samples was small for the generaliz-
ation of the classifiers, the probability calculations of
success, within the criteria of reclassification, were carried
out. For the probability calculations, the probability of the
output of a neuron j ðUj Þ to be greater than that the outputs of
the other neurons ðUÞ was calculated, as shown in Eq. (9):
An easy and simple manner to calculate this probability
is making the difference between Uj and the maximum U
among the other neurons, and so calculating the probability
that this difference will be greater than zero. This process is
described in detail in Ref. [14].
