The power cycle subsystem used in this study is a conventional
Rankine cycle. The Rankine cycle in the system simulation model
mainly consists of high and low pressure turbine stages, tow
pumps, feed-water heater and condenser. In this low capacity of
100 kWe Rankine cycle, only one steam extraction outlet from
turbine is designed to meet the water preheating requirement. A
temperature–entropy schematic diagram of the power cycle with
all corresponding intermediate state points at the design main
operation mode is shown in Fig. 2.
