This means that less energy is fed to the main grid where it contributes to the renewable energy share of the energy mix. One of the obvious reasons for this is the absence of transmission lines to connect their plant to the nearest distribution
point. Nevertheless, the research survey shows that 55% of respondents are willing to venture into the renewable energy business if the infrastructure cost is borne by a third party, either the government or utilities.
