In order to understand how AR has been applied in healthcare education, we performed an integrative review which is the broadest type of research review method and allow for the inclusion of various research designs to more fully understand a phenomenon of interest [4]. 2529 research paper which related AR in health education were found in six databases: ERIC, CINAHL, Medline, PubMed, Web of Science and Springer-link until 2012. 25 multi-disciplinary articles were analyzed through a thematic analysis [3]. We used broad inclusion criteria which have not restricted the research methodology and the writing style but writing in English. An article was included in the review if it was a research paper on AR in healthcare education. It was excluded if use AR as term but it is virtual reality when we check the content. We included the paper which is mixed reality and blended reality as the same mean as AR.
