Hello Miew,
Ploy sent me a copy of her USA itinerary.
The itinerary is still not complete and she needs it completed so that she has time to study it before going to immigration.
I do not understand why it is taking so long to give her an itinerary. This should have been given to her weeks ago.
She already has a lot of work having to learn about the places she is going to visit but that is her job.
For some unknown reason--she was not given a Thai copy of an itinerary. Because of this she has to spend many hours translating everything to Thai so that she can speak the words correctly. What is the reason she did not get a copy in Thai?
If making an itinerary and working on a computer I can do Google translate and then print it in the language I choose.
Then there would be an English copy and a Thai copy.
I looked at the itinerary when she flies San Francisco to LA. Los Angeles is very big and has many airports.
This is not a correct itinerary and anybody asking questions about California would know this doesn't make any sense.
The itinerary states she flies from SFO to LAX. Then it's states she goes one hour to the north to get to a hotel and go to sleep.
Then the next day she goes 3-4 hours to the south and goes right past the airport (LAX) that she landed in the day before to get to Disneyland in the south.
Then at the end of the day she goes 3 to 4 hours back to the north to her hotel.
You can fly from SFO direct to an airport next to Disneyland.
You can also fly from SFO to an airport near Hollywood and the Toluca Hotel.
But under no circumstances would you fly to LAX a 2nd time. You would not travel across LA two times in the same day either as the itinerary has her doing.
In Los Angeles going to the places in her itinerary, she should be staying in two different hotels – – one when she's in the north and one when she's in the south near Disneyland.
Also something that would not make any sense is staying in two hotels in San Francisco.
On the last day she changes hotels to go 3 km away from the hotel she's already at on Lombard St.
San Francisco is very small and all the tourist sections are within a 7-8 kilometer area.
Los Angeles is very big and everything is spread out over many hundred kilometers.
Also she was told there is a subway in Los Angeles--in Los Angeles it is called the metro. New York has a subway.
The itinerary should list the transportation method every day she has a long journey. It needs to say how she is going to the airport, or any tourist attraction that doesn't require a tour company.
Previously I asked her how she was going to the Grand Canyon because the itinerary didn't say.
She said she would take a taxi because that is the way she knows to go places.
Anybody that makes an itinerary knows that would cost about $2000 USA— anybody in the consulate or immigration would also know this.
It is not her job to write an itinerary travel method—that is what an itinerary includes.
The itinerary needs to specify when she's taking a tour to arrive at a location and if it is a tour-- then the itinerary needs to say type of tour transportation she is using and she can study this. If going to Grand Canyon by bus or going to Alcatraz tour by boat.
It doesn't need to say Tour company names, but it does need to say when she is taking a tour and when she is not taking a tour.
Her itinerary does not say how she is to get from her hotel to locations that are many hours away.
The itinerary needs to say if she is taking a taxi, metro, bus or boat to get to EVERY different location so that she knows this and studies and reads about it.
It also needs to be written in the itinerary how she goes from the airport to her hotel.
Again, it is her job to learn what is written, but it is not her job to make an itinerary as that was something you said you would be doing as part of your job.
I know there are some things--like getting around her hotel that do not need to be on the itinerary.
However, the itinerary is supposed to represent an actual basic idea for travel for her when she needs to travel away from the hotel.
I do not understand why this itinerary is taking so long to be completed and why there are mistakes in the itinerary also.
When we met, you told me you had done an application for USA before. So you could have used that itinerary and given it to Ploy weeks ago so she could have time to study about what she was going to see. Also, extra time to translate Thai to English.
If you wanted to make a new itinerary she should've had that itinerary along time ago also as it is getting close to the time when she needs to have it all memorized for immigration.
Please reply to me today and let me know when she will have a completed itinerary as time is VERY SHORT for her at this point.
Thank you
Ron
