We check the rub resistance with a special Prüfbau Quartant device. This device is industry standard in Europe.
I know that some companies in China as example are using other devices to check the rub resistance.
As result they will have different values.
In our technical data sheets of all our coatings can you find the information about the rub restistance.
It is segmented in: very good, excellent and outstanding for the best rub resistance.
We check the the gloss with a gloss meter wit an angle of 60° in the printing industry.
On request we can give you values fo a specific coating on our lab cardboard with dry ink.
Overall WB matt coatings are between 15-7 points, WB gloss between 50-75, UV matt 10-8, UV gloss 80-95.
That means we have a lot of variation in our product line to fulfill the demands of our customers.
On the demand of your customer (sample, cardboard, other coating) we will select the right product.
Both, rub resistance and gloss are significantly influenced by the paper, cardboard an the ink (fresh, dry, coverage).
It is not possible to compare coatings on different substrates totally, only aproximitely.
So there is no list for the customer wit any values of rub restistance or gloss for all our products.
I have seen in your agenda that we are visiting Chaicharoen printing. I think we schould talk about these points with the customer.
