This Measurement Note details measurements of the wetting of hot
melt adhesives on various packaging surfaces at elevated temperatures
typical of application conditions. The results for an adhesive applied
to substrates having different water wettabilities suggest that the
contact angle of water on the surface provides a poor prediction of the
wetting of the substrates by low surface tension liquid polymers.
