Landline Telephones
Setting up a landline or getting an old one activated requires a civil registration number or CPR number. The Danish national provider Tele-Denmark Communications (TDC) manages the network, but there are also other providers, offering various packages combining telephone with cable TV and Broadband.
A telephone connection cannot be arranged from abroad. The necessary documents are:
Passport or photo ID
CPR number
Connections can be arranged by contacting the telephone company at least one week before moving in; however, it is advisable to inform the telephone company at least one month before moving.
