Human Resources Planning. Human resources planning involve forecasting human resources demands on the organization and implementing the steps necessary for meeting this demand. Large hospitality organizations will have a formalized HR plan that ties directly into the overall strategic plan. If the letter plan requires the hiring and training of additional groundskeepers for the golf course, for example, the human resources plan will address the ways in which the organization will add these people. Conversely, if the organization decides to sell its golf course, the HR plan will address the steps the firm will take in cutting back the workforce.
