Motivated to increase the thermal conductivity of the epoxy
resin thermal conductive adhesive, we fabricated the grapheneepoxy
adhesive with a few layers graphene sheets as additives
using the GIC as starting materials by a re-expansion and exfoliation
method. With the maximum loading of the graphene sheets at
10.10 wt%, the thermal conductivity of the thermal adhesive becomes
4.01 W m1 K1, which is about 22 times of that of pure
resin. The results show the graphene sheet is a kind of good additive
for the thermal conductivity enhancement of epoxy resin
thermal adhesive and has potential to be applied for other kinds of
polymers or thermal interface materials.
