Soyu staggered a breath and continued to kiss the boy in front of her. Their tongues collided in an epic battle over dominance and something in the pit of her stomach told her that she would regret this later but she couldn't stop.
The fact that she was having a tongue battle with this person was shocking. A tingling feeling settled in at the pit of her stomach, causing butterflies and what not. Her fingers were tangled in the boy's hair and his was cradling her waist. When they both came up for air, Soyu couldn't believe herself. She slipped off the lap of the boy in front of her and sat back in the passenger's seat. She heaved for air and so did he.
"Strange, huh?" he asked in his soft and melodic voice. Something always bugged Soyu about his voice. Now she could admit that it was all because it soothed her and that she liked it.
"Very strange." she answered. The boy beside her was named Sunggyu. He was the leader of the iconic boy group, Infinite.
She never allowed herself to give into pressure and so she had hated him for provoking feelings that she hadn't had in years. But tonight, everything disappeared. She let herself go and she had let herself believe that she loved this boy. And it was the same for the boy also.
He hated her for making him look foolish around her, too gentle. He was never really the gentle type until that day he had gotten caught up in this scandal with Soyu, a member of the rising girl group, Sistar. He hated her and himself but as soon as he saw that she had set aside everything and their lips met, everything inside him turned upside down. Now he could admit he had feelings for this girl.
"So, what now?" Soyu asked. They had been sitting in the parking lot of the KBS building in Sunggyu's car, making out. What were they to do next? Sunggyu started the car. He pulled on his seatbelt and instinctively, Soyu did the same.
As the car pulled out of the parking lot, Soyu could see the Sistar fans and the Infinite fans lined in front of the building, awaiting their favorite idols. They wouldn't know where Soyu and Sunggyu were because they had left and Soyu figured that they were headed to her dorm. He knew where it was from numerous times of driving Hoya there to meet up with his girlfriend, Bora.
Soyu sat back in her seat, relaxed. Maybe when tomorrow came they would start off as enemies again. Maybe they should forget what just happened and go back to how they originally were.
"You know we have that duet tomorrow on Music Core." Sunggyu broke the silence. Soyu now remembered the duet. It was a winter special duet that they had practiced for about two weeks.
"Yea, I know." she simply replied. No long response was needed.
They could both feel the awkwardness as Sunggyu pulled up to the apartment. Soyu just sat there for a moment and then they both turned to each other. She leaned in and so did Sunggyu. A hesitation and then their lips met once again. Sending a jolt of electricity out to both of them. A moment later, they parted.
"Nothing happened today." Sunggyu said. Soyu nodded in agreement and stepped out of the car and walked straight into her the Sistar dorm, not looking back.
She sat in her bed and sighed, ruffling her hair in frustration. Why did she do that? Now she couldn't pretend that nothing happened. Dread filled her for a second and then she fell into a long and dark dream.

The next day she hated. She sat in the Music Core waiting room, waiting for her turn; the duet with Sunggyu. She had to make herself look as if she actually liked him for the cameras. Now if it was someone like Woohyun, she would have no problem because believe it or not, she liked Woohyun. But Sunggyu was a different story.
When she was called to the stage, she saw Sunggyu waiting there for her. He glanced at her and she did the same, but they didn't exchange a greeting or a single word. When they took the stage, the cheers were amazing. So many people were cheering for their duet. As the song started, Soyu closed her eyes and a soft and captivating voice filled her ears. She opened her eyes just as he finished his lines. She brought the mic up to her lips and started her own verses.
When the song came to its final moment, they were standing about one foot from each other, holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes as they sang the last harmony. The crowd burst in a thunder of applause and Sunggyu, for the first time gave Soyu a sincere smile. This one wasn't for show. And it was at that moment when Soyu smiled back and stepped closer to him and gently placed her lips on his.
The crowd in front of them let out a harmonious gasp. But applause followed soon after as Soyu wrapped her arms around Sunggyu's neck and he wrapped his arms around her waist. When they pulled apart, they leaned their foreheads together.
"I didn't mean it when I told you I hated you." Soyu started. They were still in an embrace and they talked so low, only they could hear it.
"Me either. I love you." Sunggyu said. Soyu bit her lip and they shared another passionate kiss.
