Mirrors
All vehicles (except motorcycles) must be equipped with at least two rear-view mirrors. One rear-view mirror must be affixed to the outside of the driver's door and provide the driver with a view of at least 200 feet of highway to the rear. The other required mirror may either be inside the vehicle or on the passenger's outside door. If you are towing or transporting something bulky, the second rear-view mirror must be on the passenger's outside door, as the view of an inside mirror will be blocked.
Mirrors enable you to see to the sides and the rear of the vehicle without taking your eyes off the road in front of you. Adjust your mirrors before setting off, as doing so while driving can lead to collisions.
