Many biomaterials lack the desired functional properties
to interface with biological systems, in spite of numerous
uses of materials in tissue engineering. Thus, developing
new materials to reach these issues is necessary.
Composites of hydrophilic polymers and inorganic
minerals like hydroxyapatite can be good materials for
biomedical applications. Bone apposition and
differentiation of mesenchymal cells to osteoblasts can
be promoted by the attachment of hydroxyapatite
nanoparticles to a polymer surface
