Essentially, however, the MDGs are just a wish list of goals based on fine ideals but lacking means of realization—they are supposed to be realized by each national government, in part using funds made available from debt relief (see below), with “advocacy, monitoring and advice” from the UNDP, the World Bank, and other international agencies.
