Review or pay and housing - when might this be likely?
It is unlikely that a review will come into play until the school is operating in the black consistently.
Also in 2013 the overall package was updated. Consistency was made between overseas and local hire. Transparency was made within the pay structure. People who were on a lower pay scale than their years of service were amended accordingly. Air fares were given at the end of every contract. One month signing on bonus was added.
Before overseas contracts were reviewed, local contracts would probably be reviewed first. However, the school would not want the overseas package to be uninviting or not good enough to retain quality staff.
As a first step, NR will look at what our competitors in Thailand offer as well as on the island. NR will also discuss his findings with Dr. Nares and see if/when a review could be on the table.
