The findings in this study that women with cesarean deliveries
have more morbidity than women with vaginal deliveries is consistent
with many other studies (2–5,9,12). History of a previous cesarean
has been generally associated with increased morbidity (9–11) and
was found in this study for ruptured uterus and unplanned hysterectomy,
which had higher rates for repeat compared with primary
cesarean deliveries
