In the present work, hierarchical ZSM-5 zeolite samples,with different contribution of the secondary porosity, have beenemployed for preparing bifunctional catalysts by incorporating Niparticles. The enhanced mesopore surface area and volume presentin hierarchical ZSM-5 is expected to increase the accessibility of thereactant molecules and the dispersion of the metal phase, offeringnew possibilities for tuning the catalytic activity and, more impor-tantly the product distribution, in the conversion of rapeseed oil.
