A practical next step for continuing this study would be to find out which of the issues are most commonly mentioned and rated by the students as most significant. Producing some type of ranking model by enabling more weight to be placed on certain issues than others could aid in improving retention efforts by pointing out which areas should be given priority. There are two main ways to do this: asking each respondent to rank the issues according to importance or counting which issues are most frequently mentioned. The latter could be applied in in-depth interviews and the former in short questionnaires.
