The critical part at my end is the overall department store planning consistency and our ability to complete our total renovation early enough so that product categories that are the most in competition with Central (eg Beauty) are still able to open before Central. This is critical to their commercial negotiation with brands.
As per the timelines I shared regularly with your dept and all others, the site renovation at fresh mart "grocery" must start early Aug this year. This is one first step in a complex chain of relocations / swaps between categories and floors.
We cannot afford to postpone the removal of the current supermarket's grocery portion beyond Aug 2015 as this space is to be handed over to lingerie and boutique (which, in turn, are part of a swap with the upper floor).
This area must vacate within August 2015. If not, the entire dept store renovation plan is blocked.
F&B dept is considering various equipment upgrades instead of simple relocations. These would require more time in order to go through budget / design / bidding. It is up to your dept to decide to proceed wit those and it could trigger some loss of sales due to a lack of temporary trading space. My recommendation (which I believe is also Khun Achara's request), is that the supermarket shelves and equipments be merely moved rather than upgraded. This would avoid delays and additional costs. Nevertheless, if your dept decides to request new equipments, please bear in mind that the current grocery area still must be vacated by aug 2015
