Hot plus warm rolling combined with an aging treatment was applied to Mg–Zn–Zr magnesium alloys
for exploring the possibility of producing magnesium alloys capable of exhibiting good sheet formability
at room temperature through texture control while becoming greatly strengthened after the sheet
forming process using an aging treatment. Uniform ductility was significantly improved due to basal
texture weakening. A considerable amount of strength loss due to the texture weakening could be
restored by the subsequent aging treatment.
