4. Conclusion
Removal of nitrogen oxides in the presence of an
excess of oxygen using Pt catalysts with simple
reductants such as H2, CO were investigated.
Pt/zeolite catalysts are suitable for NOx removal
with H 2 .
An improved catalyst, Pt-Mo-Na/SiO 2, can be
made by reducing the oxidation efficiency of Pt. It
was found that this catalyst had the characteristics of
a higher temperature window of NOx conversion and
lower N20 byproduct than that of conventional Pt
catalysts. Among these reductants, there is no concept about the common reaction intermediate.
