The Minister of Labour has urged all agencies to promote authorities’ accomplishments in eliminating the conducts of human trafficking the media and the genera public, both domestically and internationally.
The Minister of Labour Gen Sirichai Distakul revealed that the ministry held meetings with the subcommittee on the topic of eliminating child labour, forced labour, and immigrant labour issues to determine the operation guideline related to the new Fishery Act Article 11 on captured illegal migrant labourers.
He said that all agencies were urged to come up with active strategies to promote their work and accomplishments to the domestic and international media, and the general public. Their work must also be cooperated by related agencies to better tackle the issues.
He also asked related agencies to promote the registration of labourers in fisheries and seafood processing among employers, to encourage the registration of their employees. Employers of migrants employees found without proper registration and employment detail will face highest legal punishments.
