The simplest design of passive bearings is with two
coaxial rings for radial suspension and two cylinders for
axial suspension [3]. The first one is the bearing
composed of two cylinders acting with two rings. The
cylinders are mutually fixed with thin layer of nonmagnetic
barrier (i.e. film plastic). The rings are also
mutually fixed with the barrier of the same thickness.
Cylinders (considered as rotor) and rings (considered as
stator) are arranged coaxially. Cross-section of this type
of bearing is shown in Fig. 2.
