Conclusions Supercritical CO2 extraction carried out at 10 MPa and 40◦C on-line fractionation of the extract of Cannabis sativa inflorescencesallowed the recovery of fractions with different composition andbiological properties, suitable for cosmetic and/or food industry. The low processing temperature resulted in non-damaged volatilecompounds, giving to the aromatic extract superior quality. The supercritical CO2extraction process of hemp inflorescencesresulted particularly advantageous in terms of energy consumptionin comparison with hydrodistillation.
