The validation of the present EFGM code has been presented in Table 2 by comparing local Nusselt number
(Nux Re1=2
x ¼ h0ð0Þ) results for the earlier steady state problem of Grubka and Bobba [34], who have solved forced convection
flow on linearly stretching surface, which is a special case of this problem. It has been obtained that with 801 nodes the
present results are agreed very well with those obtained by Grubka and Bobba [34] and Chen [35]. We have also compared
the selected result of element free Galerkin method with those obtained by finite element method as shown in Figs. 2 and 3.
