Standoff distance is the distance between the nozzle and the work piece during cutting operation.
Increase in nozzle standoff distance decreases the depth of cut when the other parameters considered
in this study as constant as shown in figure 5. However standoff distance on depth of cut is not much
influential when compared to the traverse rate.
