Dear Parents,
Greetings!
Slowly but surely, our children are settling down in their new classes, with their teachers and friends. We hope that as a result, parents are also settling down into a routine.
Like children, teachers also need a little time to get to know their students and also the parents. We appreciate your patience and strive to improve our communication each year.
I understand that there are still some concerns that parents and teachers have therefore I would like to clarify a few issues to ensure a common understanding.
Receiving students in the morning
Teachers will be on duty in 2 shifts
Shift 1 7.00 am – 7.30 am
Shift 2 7.30 am – 8.00 am (fewer teachers)
We would like the understanding of parents that we have to be ready for class by 8.00 am which means that students in K1 and K2 who come after 8 am, are late and will have to be received by teachers or personnel at the door who will see them up to their classes.
N2 children who are dropped off after 8 am will also be received inside the building by a representative TA of their class from 8 am – 8.30 am only. The TAs will not be stationed outside as they may be needed in the classroom off and on (as majority of children are already in class).
Parents who drop their children after 8.30 will have to report to the reception area and wait until either someone drops the children to class or a TA is called out to pick the child up.
We understand that traffic is an issue therefore we will try to accommodate you as best as we can, however we would encourage all our students to be on time as regularly as possible.
After School Academic and Activity club
Students who are not picked up by 4 pm for more than 3 times will be encouraged to join the Club. Parents will be contacted for consent. The payment for AA will be made termly at 500 baht an hour.
These classes are not academic based however the children will be with a friend or up to 3 friends so that they can engage in an educational game or activity after they have completed their homework. It is a constructive and fun way to spend their after school hours.
