Based on the life-cycle perspective, the
CFS model recognizes the importance
of the early years and timely entry into
school for better learning outcomes. Early
childhood development interventions are
viewed as one way to enhance equity and
quality in early life, which in turn contributes
to improved developmental and school
readiness. According to the CFS approach
and its promotion of the concept of ready
schools, continuity in learning expectations
between early childhood and primary school
environments can ease the transition from
home to school. It can also help connect
families, community-based service providers,
teachers and school administrators.
