Nowadays we usually equate educational technology with computers, laptops, iPads, iPhones, 3Dprinters, etc.
However technology is not that new to education and most probably in 50 years it will look very different from what
we now consider as being hi-tech. Just to make a point here, in the early 1800s, a technological innovation was
introduced to the classroom that would prove to have a profound impact on teaching. But back then it had the same
