In this study, it was found that only 3.1% of the waste produced
was used as bedding. However, Top et al. (2013) reported that
20.8% of timber-industry wastes in the same province were used
as bedding. This large difference may arise from the quality and
quantity of furniture-industry wastes, which differ from those produced
in the timber industry. In addition, waste from the timber
industry does not contain any artificial chemicals.
