of the elementary school staff meetings, as well as university
mentors’ meetings, and school records open for examination.
Additional data consisted of parent surveys; focus group interviews
conducted with board members, parents, and teachers from the K–5
school; universitymentors’ classroom observation logs; and examples
of student work during classroom activities used to assess student
achievement and growth. Parent survey questions included parent satisfaction
with student performance at school, curriculum content and
delivery, assessment, and other aspects of the school program.
