Maryland
Maryland is a southern state of the united states.
Pennsylvania lies on the north. Virginia and West Virginia lie on the south. Delaware is to the east. Most of the state's coastline lies along the Chesapeake Bay.
Maryland is called the Old line state for its soldiers who fought so bravely in the Revolutionary WAr (1775-1783).
They were called the "troops of the line."
Annapolis, the capital of Maryland, lies on the Chesapeake Bay. Baltimore is Maryland's largest city and a major U.S. port. It has one of the largest natural harbors in the world.
