The objective of our research was to investigate the effect of
different PGRs on physiological and biochemical characteristics of
lentils (plant growth, chlorophyll content and fluorescence, yield,
total phenolic content, specific phenolic compounds and their total
antioxidant capacity). Considering that our particular aim was to
find the relationship between application of PGRs and phenolic
profile in lentil seeds, the impact of PGRs on the phenolic profile
and antioxidant activity of lentils was tested in order to provide
useful information on the effective development of functional food
products containing bioactive polyphenolic constituents
