8.2 Second Conditional
we use the second conditional to talk about things
• that probably won't happen now or in the future.
- If she had more money, she would travel first class.
- I might visit my uncle if I had time off work.
• we know will not happen.
- If I lived nearby, I could visit more.
If + past form, would/could/might + base form
Remember: When we use be in the if clause, we usually use were for all subjects.
