The New Aspiration Party.
The New Aspiration Party was reliant for its funds on profits from investments the stock exchange and in property deals. As the stock marked turned bearish, the party's funds diminished. Chaovalit announced that the party would only field 180 candidates at most, compared with the 351 it had offered at the previous election. Many NAP members complained in private of the lack of financial support, the diminishing prospect of Chaovalit becoming PM, and the party leader’s management style.
